On Wednesday night we took 3 fashion bloggers out for dinner to Double Crown. The photos aren't great as they were taken on my iPhone 4, but the food was delicious.

A taste of England in NYC
We walked from the Apple store on the corner of 14th & 9th to Soho as it was a gorgeous sunny day
and after a hectic week, it was great to just stroll through the neighbourhoods.
We came across this store full of English fare!
Best brunch - Baltazaar in SoHo, NYC
On my last day in New York, we headed to SoHo for brunch at Baltazaar, a New York staple. I have eaten lunch there before, and was excited to be going back for brunch with the girls.
I found the bloody mary's in NYC not amazing - is it the tomato juice that is too sweet? But Baltazaar's was good, and after a Saturday night out eating, drinking and dancing, it was very much needed.
My Eggs Bella Donna were out of this world. It's been a while since I had brunch that was this good. Polenta, spinach, egg whites, pancetta and a slice of Parmesan on top.

Saturday morning brunch - Banana & blueberry gluten-free pancakes with bacon & maple syrup
Saturday morning brunch is as good an excuse as any for a little decadence.
Gluten-Free Banana & Blueberry Pancakes with Maple Syrup
Ingredients:
175g Buckwheat flour
2 tspn Baking soda
1 over-ripe banana
2 eggs
300 ml milk
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp milled flaxseed
1 cup frozen blueberries
Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
Mash the banana to a liquid pulp, beat in the eggs until light and frothy. Add the remaining wet ingredients.
Create a well in the dry ingredients, then stir in the wet ingredients, ensuring there are no lumps.
Add in the blueberries just before frying in the pan.

Sunday night roast chicken
The husband and I made supper tonight. His roast chicken, his sprouts & joint-effort roast potatoes & roast butternut. My photos....
Prepped butternut
Chicken ready for the oven
Chicken half done, potatoes go in.
Husband wasn't thrilled that the skin split on the chicken, but it was delicious!
Mini-moon food pics - Grootbos
My husband and I got married in Cape Town last November. After being in Cape Town for 2 weeks before the wedding, we took 2 days out for a mini-moon before returning to London. We stayed at an absolutely gorgeous private nature reserve called Grootbos, which is a 2 hour drive up the coast from Cape Town in an area called Walker Bay. The views were incredible, the service excellent, and the food was delicious!
Dinner - 1st night (4 courses)
Lunch - pan-friend prawns:
